If you pet has any of these symptoms, call IMMEDIATELY

 

Symptom:

With:

Inability to Breathe

 

Noisy respiration, blue tongue, gasping for breath

 

Bleeding Won't Stop

 

From any part of the body.  Apply pressure and contact us immediately!

 

Inability to Urinate or Appears Constipated

But repeatedly tries

Pain

Severe, Continuous with no relief

Vomiting, Diarrhea

 

Continually, or with the Appearance of Blood

 

Loss of Balance or Consciousness

 

Includes tremors, coma, staggering, blindness, fainting

 

Itching

 

Continual scratching, biting, self-mutilation

 

Penetrating Wounds

 

Any place, but especially chest or abdomen

 

Poisoning

 

Bring the container or commercial name and chemical name to the us with your pet

 

Injury

Continual pain and/or total lameness

Hit by Car

 

Burns

Heat or Chemicals – Go immediately to the vet hospital

 

If your pet has any of these symptoms, call to make an appointment for TODAY

 

Symptom:

With:

Difficulty Breathing

 

With or Without Coughing.  Eats and Drinks, but Not Frantic

 

Vomiting or Diarrhea

 

Without Blood; No Pain; No Unusual Contents in the Liquid

 

Sudden Lameness

No apparent cause

Swallowed an Object

 

Even if you THINK your pet swallowed something

 

Severe Itching

 

With possible self-mutilation

 

Strange Odor

 

Usually a disagreeable smell, from any part of the body

 

 

If your pet has any of these symptoms, it is safe to wait OVERNIGHT

 

Symptom:

With:

Itching

 

Mild to Moderate; No Skin Damage; Not Continuous

 

Vomiting or Diarrhea

 

Without Blood; No Foreign Material; No Pain, Not Continuous

Lameness

 

Little to No Pain; No Discomfort in Walking; Not Continuous

 

Thirst or Urination

 

Excessive Drinking and/or Elimination of Urine with No Blood, No Pain, No Straining or Discomfort; No Bloody Appearance to the Urine

 

Loss of Appetite

 

Skipped one main meal, but no other signs of illness

 

Most Skin Problems

This puts you directly in touch with a veterinarian who can immediately address your pet’s concerns.

 

AT THAT POINT THE DOCTOR CAN ARRANGE TO COME IN AND SEE YOUR PET ON AN EMERGENCY BASIS.

Yes, even the veterinarian's pet's need care too.  Both dogs had their paws bandaged the previous week for a different issue and then they tangled with a porcupine!
